I was wondering about the feasability of such a venture. I know 240s were carbureted in the late '70s. The reason I'd consider doing this is because of the seemingly unremovable 6000 rpm rev limiter on my LH 2.0 injection system. As I've installed a 'K' cam which only becomes useful above 4000 revs, I know my car's current rev limit is significantly stifling this camshaft's power potential in my car. I'm aware that higher revs necessitate harder or even double valve springs, and I'm plenty willing to get those if I could find a source. I just know that the injection system has limitations which could be overcome by changing to carbs.
So the question is: what would I need to perform such a swap if it is feasable? Where would I find such strange devices? I noticed at the tractor pulling center there is a stroked and bored 3.0 B230 242 which is all motor running 324hp at 8300 rpm and is carbureted. I'm willing to bet that the main reason this guy went to carbs is because of the injection's limitations. Thanks for all of the help!
