Hi all you troubleshooters out there....

I have noise problem with my '80 265..

When The car is running with the gearbox in "neutral", there is a

whining\buzzing sound that sounds like it comes from the rear of the engine (B27E)or maybe from the converter\flywheel cover area.

When I put it in "drive", the sound stops until I start to drive...

The gearbox have been out of the car a while ago, and the noise

came after putting it back in the car...

Does any of you have any ideas?
