overdrive engages late 900 91

My 940 turbo wagon has an intermittent problem w/over drive.

The overdrive usually takes a while to engage. Sometimes sooner sometimes

after a half hour+ of driving, traffic, speed,cold, does'nt matter. I can hear the relay click when I press the disengage button, so iguess thats OK. Last year the solonoid(?) on the transmission was replaced. Any ideas? Maybe a bad solonoid?
