Hitch installation 700 91

I have a 740 wagon and would like to add a trailer hitch. I've read the FAQ pages and crawled underneath to take a look. Although the FAQ entries say that the hitch attaches easily to existing holes, it's not immediately obvious to me that it's that easy. Does it go behind the muffler bracket (on one side) and the tow hook (on the other)?

This is my question: I can buy a hitch (Draw-tite, I think) over the counter for about $120 or so, or have it installed for $200. Is the installation really worth 80 beans?

Note: the hitch is just for a bicycle rack, so I don't need the lights wired.
