Here is some background, bought the 245 last year from the original owner with 212,000 miles on it. Haven't done much to it except regular maintenance. Today was the first cold day of the season(32 deg F in Ohio), and when my wife went to start the car (I was gone already to an autocross) it would crank, but wouldn't fire. The car has been making some noise that sounds like a fuel pump going out for about 4-5 months, and did let us sit once this summer 2 hours from home (the car had been running in hot weather with the AC on for 2 hours), the car just died and wouldn't start for an hour.
Is it likely one of the fuel pumps? I haven't tried to diagnose anything yet, except for trying to start the car myself to no avail. Should I pull the fuel line from the injector rail and crank it to see if any fuel is getting to the injectors? Any other diagnostic tips?
Thanks,
Keith Miller
