My B230 is a noisy mother....especially above 3000rpm. Sounds like a chainsaw/lawnmower combo. Are these motors inherently LOUD? Why?

I wonder if I could quiet things down by replacing the belt-driven fan with an electric unit?

Not that anyone can complain about a car that has done almost 200,000 and doesn't use any oil, and still gets 25+mpg....they don't build 'em like this anymore!!
