Okey guys I know I have been posting a lot of questions lately. I thank those who have been very kind in sharing their experiance and knowledge with me in solving my problems.

I have a car that is a bit of a sore eye. No the body is accident free but the doors are out of allignment. Both front doors are sticking out - adjusted the latches on the body, but still no improvement. If one were to look from the rear end of the car, you can notice the front doors are gapping out and slanted inward at the top. I tried to adjust the left door to slant outward at the top but no there are metal nipples where the top and bottom hinges are screwed to the body of the door. These metal nipples sits in the metal plate that is part for the hinges and it effectively prevent the doors from being adjusted vertically. I tried to adjust the locking hatch on the body but no use because the top part of the door is slanted deep inside.

Very interesting because I had gone to the second hand car dealers (under a pretext of buying a volvo 940) checked the areas at the hinges (top and bottom hinges) and found that although the hinges have the identical metal plate with a hole, I don't see any metal nipples jutting out to rest on the door hinges. Checked few volvo of 940 series and the 16 valves of te 940, checked all doors' top and bottom hinges and found none. So why it is that my car doors (all four of them) got these damn thing on them (two each door - top and bottom) which prevents me from making the slanting adjustment. How can I take them out please. Can I just use a metal saw on these suckers. Or is there a gentler way to remove them.
