Main pump rebuild? 200

Is it possible to rebuild the main fuel pump on a 1979 cis system.

I have 3 of them lying around and none of them seem to work. which leads me to believe that it may be something else - so i dont want to spend the money buying a new main pump until i can check that it isnt something else first.
