Hello again. Thank you very much for the advice on the 1987 740 with 77,000 miles. I think we will skip it! It seems that we keep running into this same situation and we are starting to become frustrated. We live in Philadelphia, PA, an area with plenty of volvos, but so far none in good condition for a fair price. We have driven a number of 240s and two 740s all which were asking $2,500 (and up) and many in similar condition to this current 740 (and a few with bad mechanical troubles too!!). We want to stay in this price range...is it possible to find a good volvo with fairly low miles (we're hoping for around 100,000)and in good shape for this price or is this wishful thinking? Also, does anyone know of someone in this area selling a reliable, well maintained volvo (preferably a 240, but interested in 740s too). Thank you again for all the help. We would be the owners of a poorly kept, overpriced 740 if we didn't have your advice! Thank you again and again...Johanna
