How do the economy and power of, say, an Amazon or early 144 compare to a mid-80s 200 or 700 series car?

Just as a point of reference.....'86 245, 4spd+OD, 2.3L b230f (114hp/136tq) does 25-26mpg highway, 22-23 around town. Cruises comfortably at 75-80mph.

Performance...about 0-60 in, I think, low 11's.
