Overdrive is not working - all of a sudden 200 1981

I went through this before, and it was fixed by fixing/tightening the wires attaching to the solenoid.

I thought it was the same problem, appears not to be - symptoms building up included popping out of OD when car was cold - cooler weather related as well.

Then it went out completely - not even an intermittent green light and OD on and then OD pop out. Fuse was blown, did not fix problem when replaced. checked under car wires, cleaned and retightened, good connection at solenoid.

How do I test the solenoid - and or test the interlock in the transmission to allow OD only to engage in 4th gear?

Any other likely problem areas? - the switch appears good, as do the switch connections.

Any assistance is appreciated...
