Removing the pin stripes 200 1984

Has anyone had any success taking the pin stripes off of their brick? Mine is and 84 240 and the pinstripes are a sticker that runs down the sides. I have tried the 3M woodgrain and stripe reomver and it did not work at all. The only thing that has worked is picking it off chunk by chunk with an old credit card. This will take me days to complete so I am looking for a better way. Thanks for any help.
