Hello,

My wife drove over a truck tire on the I95 at about 65 mph. Not sure exactly how much of it she hit and she said she had no time to avoid it. Anyways the transmission dipstick tube that feeds into the transmission pan , came off clean ! the entire thing including the collar nut came off.

I had it towed and basically we had the thing welded back on after removing the pan.

But I was just wondering if this ever happened to any one else. Also I did not see any other damage and the car runs fine. Anything I should look for in particular to see if it damaged ??
