Parking Brake Pads 200 84

I am changing the rear rotors on my brick, I was wondering how neccessary it is to change the emergency brake pads. I suppose I will know more when I take my rotors off, but how do I determine if the pads are bad? If I do need to change them, where is the best place to buy the pads, and how difficult is it to change them? Thanks guys.
