I have two questions. Last week, I had a new starter, alternator, and battery installed. Now, I have to turn the ignition 2-3 times before I can get the car to start. When I turn on the ignition each time, all dashboard lights come on and the headlights work. Of course, I follow the owner's manual instructions and depress the accelerator on starting up. Any ideas? I think that the starter is defective.
Secondly, regarding aftermarket parts with lifetime warranties (eg water pumps), do places like Kragen accept preventive maintenance. For example, I want to take out my old water pump after it runs 75k even if it's ok and replace it with a new one. Any tips for dealing with Kragen?
