I recently changed the oil and plugs in this 82 DL. Ok, I tried something different in the form of Mobil Clean oil and an off the shelf filter. I put in Autolite plugs.

After about a week, it sounds as though the engine is DRY for the first 2 - 3 seconds after startup. The oil is topped up and clean as a whistle. I used the same oil and filter in my 98 Stratus (Mitsubishi v6 engine) with no ill effects that I know of.

Any thoughts? (I just bought a case of Mann's for the future....)
