'90 740 wagon vs. '90 Cadillac Eldorado 700 1990

I am trying to decide between two vehicles to purchase at the present time. One is a '90 740 GL with 159k, the other is a '90 Cadillac Eldorado with 152k. The Volvo is priced at $3000, the Caddy at $800. Which car do you think I should purchase if I want long-lasting durability? Even though the Eldorado has a V-8, does that mean it's built as well as a Volvo?
