volvo 240 DL question 200 1990

I took my volvo to the local mechanic and he put it on the computer and it said that my mass air flow sensor had gone bad along with my coolant temperature sensor. i ordered a remanufactured one from auto zone but that didn't do it, so i am now ordering a new bosch mass air flow sensor. I just wanted to know if when the new mass air flow sensor gets put on, will the coolant temp. sensor still read bad? If it does, should i worry about it? My temp. gauge works fine and my mechanic said not to worry about it buy i need some expert advice from a volvo person.
