007 rebuilt AMM goes South in 30 days 700 87

My '87 Turbo was getting 29-30 MPG and had more power than my old D/G '55 Chevy after installing an Injection Labs AMM and 30 days later it's sluggish, idling rough, has a barely detectable miss under acceleration and the mileage dropped 3-5 MPG. I reinstalled my old OE Bosch back up unit and she "rocks" again. Now can anyone tell me if there are any checks I should perform to be sure something is not frying my AMM, I have the "Volvo problem solver" and have made a few volt and ohm checks and nothing seems amiss. I'm thinking of leaving the back up unit on for a few thousand miles in case the problem is harness related.(I rebuilt the harness 4 yrs ago!) My first Injection Labs unit had the same symptoms until it eventually had a total failure, bucking, loads of black smoke, stalling and trying to go into boost at idle. Another unit is on the way but the supplier may not so agreeable if another failure happens in 30 days. Thanks
