Radio wiring affected dash lights 700 1992

I replaced the CR-718 radio to add CD. The connector (I cut off)into the radio included wires for lighting. I corrected the headlights, but can't find the solution for the dash lights. I have 12V on the instrument panel but no lights. Two wires (blue and green have 12V with lights on) but they went into the radio only. Any help would be appreciated.
