Nipples ...... That should get your attention ;-) 120-130 1965

OK Gang ... on a recommendation from "the Peanut Gallery" here on Brickboard, I drilled out the Nipple on the balance tube between the carbs on my B20 to 1/8" from it's original 3/32" to help dispose of some of the oil and fumes that were coming out of my engine .... OK it worked for that ..BUT .... it is now causing a problem with the vacuum advance and as a result, my idle ... if I let the idle drop below 1000 rpm once the engine is warmed up ... she stalls out... have to pull on the choke to keep it from stalling .... sooooo .. looks like I am now in the market for a new 3/32" nipple ..... anyone got one lying around that they don't need ???

Seeing as I am going to be installing a new to me B20 in the next month or so I will soon be free of the blow by and piston slap BUT I will have to use the intake and exhaust from this engine. For information... today I stopped in to Volvo of Halifax and had them look up the price of a B20 twin downpipe exhaust manifold .. thinking if it was reasonable it would be a good purchase instead of a set of headers .... well the price quoted for the manifold alone .... not including the twin headpipe was $cdn569.00 ... Makes those headers look like quite a bargain....

BTW the Odometer officially turned 1.5 million miles tonight on the way home .... neat to see all those zeros ....
