headlight lens covers 700 90

I am about to replace a headlight lens on my 90 765Ti. since these suckers are so prone to cracking and are awefully expensive, I have been debating the use of headlight covers (IPD) and maybe even the smoke ones. Does anyone use these and have some pictures or advise? Can you use eyebrows with headlight covers?
