Hello all. Just wanted to ask some questions about some noises when driving my '84 242ti. I got a watercooled, larger size t3 turbo and 92 exhaust manifold/3" downpipe from a760 turbo installed on my car when i first bought it (a few months ago). Ever since I got the car back, the turbo has really made a fairly loud (louder than the engine) howling noise even at fairly low rpm. Any suggestions for curing this? Another thing, particularly at highway speeds, when I give it gas (even before the turbo spools up) I can hear a chugga-chugga sound that sounds kinda like a steam engine coming from the exhaust side of the car. It's not real loud, just loud enough to be annoying. Despite these sounds the car boosts and runs great. I can continuously irritate my girlfriend with rolling burnouts in 2 and 3rd gear at will. ;)
