Mirror mirror on the car 200 85

Well I finished rebuilding my wiring harness late last night(very late) so it's on to the next job. Does anyone have any experience with the 240 power mirrors. I want to partially disassemble them on the car if I can for painting. The paint is all peeling off after some kind of oxidization or other corrosion took over. I have succesfully repainted mirrors on another car before after sandblasting them. I have access to a small spot blaster so would like to do it on the car if possible. If not how do you get them off? Thanks.
