A little while back, I asked everyone at Brickboard if I'd be able to fix my fuel pump without a garage or off-street parking and not much (but not too little) knowledge, and the opinion was yes. I didn't have to, because the symptoms I was experiencing stemmed from a bad coil wire, but I have a new question. My 86 245 needs a new brake master cylinder, and I'm pretty sure I can replace it myself. This feeling comes from the fact that it's perched in plain sight. My wife feels that if I do the work myself we'll die in a fiery crash at the first intersection down the street. Do you think this is a reasonable undertaking for a guy who hasn't bled brakes before? Should I replace all the brake fluid if I'm pretty sure it hasn't been done before? Thanks for any advice.
