Removing Window Tint On Rear Window 200 87

In the past two years my rear window's tint has been bubbling. It's gotten to the point where I can't see out of the back too well. So I'd like to take the tint off. I got in there and found out that its not as easy as I had anticipated. The film is brittle and has the properties of ductape and scotch tape. I've put lots and lots of ammonia on it to no avail. It just seems like there's no "gentle" way of getting this tint off. So I resorted to the razor blade. I tested this method at the bottom of the window where there were no defroster lines and it worked really well. My only worry is that I'll destroy these defroster lines. My question is: Is there ANYTHING in this great big world of ours that will take off this tint that (A) Doesn't require me taking the window out (B) Won't damage the defroster lines and (C) Won't require me to turn into a forensic archaeologist using a surgical pick and small scalpel taking 5 years to take every last bit of window tint off the wind shield? I will be most most grateful for any suggestions.

Thanks Everyone!
