I need help narrowing down a problem I'm having. I need to know what electrical systems (relay, fuses, etc.) is involved in the Dash Fuel gauge.
Recently I tried to figure out whether my pre-pump was operational (main pump is loud). I pulled out the pre-pump fuse quickly, listened, and replaced it. I resoddered the Fuel Pump relay (fairly well I had thought). Whne I got in to drive the next day the fuel gauge no longer worked. It used to stick down a bit, but even the usual "swift hit" to the dash couldn't get it working.
So, I have a new fuel pump relay on the way ($21 at the parts bin... a price I can deal with) and am wondering if the relay manages the fuel gauge. My real worry is that the fuel gauge is managed by the pre-pump (this might make sense given it's position), and that I screwed it up somehow when I pulled the fuse.
I could REALLY use teh help of anyone who has the repair manual with a schematic or description of the electrical system.
Thanks in advance!
