Crankcase ventilation 900 1991

On my '91 940T B230ft, there is a valve mounted to the rubber elbow in between the air box and turbo. There is a two pin connector on it. Can anyone tell me how to test the valve or voltages at the connector? It appears that this valve controls crank case ventilation. I have noticed oil around the oil filler cap and also what appears to be a cam seal leak in front.

I have disconnected the beather hose at the valve on the rubber elbow and can feel and see flow to this point. As a test, I wiped up all the oil and thought I would drive the car for a short time with the hose disconnected. Maybe this would give some clues.

Any thoughts or input????
