Broken Exhaust bolts- HELP!! 200 82

In the process of changing my exhaust I have broken the exhaust bolt that bolts the convertor pipe from the front muffler to the Catalytic convertor. What is the best waqy to fix this? I am condsdering drilling out a hole through where the bolt is & usng a new bolt & nut.What size is best? Or should I tap a new threads on the hole?
