does volvo recomend synthetic oil in trans?in the owners manual and haynes they dont ever advise it 700 86

hey brick,

i am new to this awesome sight. i have not had any problems yet to ask knock on wood. but i am curious because it is getting close for me to do my first m46 tranny change and i guess differential. i like the idea of synthetics, but i also believe in the if it aint broke, dont fix it theory. if my engine has no serious leaks should i consider changing over the whole car to synthetics and if so for the engine what is the best for it. thanks mike
