morning no start if you even brush the gas

as long as you don't touch the gas pedal she always fires right up... brush the pedal accidentally with your foot and it won't start. wife always used to use throttle in starting, now she's driving my car help... always starts and runs smooth and strong as long as you don't touch accelerator. 85 240 wagon.
