High pressure hose: Can you replace the plastic high pressure gas hose that is heat sealed onto the fittings with rubber high pressure hose and clamps? 700

OEM high pressure fuel line hose is plastic covered with a rubber protective coating. The metal fittings seem to be heat sealed on each end. Can this be replaced with the high pressure fuel line you can buy from an auto parts store using hose clamps to connect to the metal fittings?
