scraping noise from front shock 200 1991

I just noticed that when I slowly go over small bumps I can hear a scraping noise from the front shock(strut). I am going to jack the car up in the morning and tighten everything I can find. What should I look for? It almost sounds like someting needs to be lubricated and I am relatively new to the 240 suspension system(seems alot simpler than my 760).
