I've checked several of the archives and have noticed others with this problem. I'd like to be able to pinpoint my car's problem with the help of anyone who can help. It's an 87 760 Turbo wagon and it is stalling out intermittently while driving. Seems like heavier loads tend to make it worse. Have just recently changed the plugs, timing belt, injector wiring harness, and fuel pump relay. Fuel level doesn't seem to make a difference, except right after I add gas, it seems to be real uncooperative and stalls when idling at lights or accelerating. It will restart after sitting for 3-5 minutes, but very inconvient when in traffic. The car was handed down by my brother, who got a new one. It has 164K miles and up to now has been running pretty well. I've visually inspected the engine and haven't noticed any frayed or broken wires. I've studied 2 Volvo manuals and have heard of others having problems with the fuel pumps, air mass filters, Hall sensors, etc. I hate to just start replacing parts without knowing if they're really bad. Any ideas?
