164 drive line question (M400 -> M410 using BW35 driveline) 140-160 1970

I think I've finally sourced an M410, which is a
wonderful way to ring in the new year.

It does not have a driveline. I've been told that
the driveline that goes to a BW35 equipped 164
is the same size as the one for the M410. I don't
want to cut my driveline since it is the only one
I've got that I know works. I can probably find
a later model 140 driveline that goes with a M40,
which I could probably have cut to the right size.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to go
about this? Regardless of which one I wind up
using I'll likely have the ujoints looked at and
maybe replaced and have it rebalanced.

Also, I've read that there are 2 different
clutches to the 164, an earlier and later version,
where the later one is larger. Which would I use?
Can I just order the larger one and assume that it
will work?

Lastly, how scary are these M410s on the
inside? I may be interested in opening it up
and replacing the bearings in it while it is out
of the car and while the car is still able to drive
around.
