I have owned 4 volvos over the last 9 years. I currently have a 1984 240 DL and a 1994 850 wagon. I used to have a 1988 740 GLE and a 1982 240 DL that was still running great with 292k when I donated it to charity on 12/31/01. The 240 had bad rust, no clutch, and a long list of other "issues". Anyway, I love(d) all of them. My favorite vovlo of all is the 122. They have so much character and style. I don't know too much about them but have been thinking (for a while) about getting one to play with and maybe restore. I would like it to be my daily driver. I was hoping to get some insight from the participants of this board on what to look for, what years to stay away from, etc. I know they came with two different carbs, is one better? Can they be converted to injection (from a 140?) w/o much trouble? Are there any advantages to the B20 over the B18 other than more power? Do they run as long as the 240's? Stuff like that would be very helpful. I had great luck on the 200 page when I was putting a new head on my 240. I'm sure I'll get more good info this time. I look forward to all input.
Thanks
