Power steering rack rebuils kits?? 200 1987

Has anyone rebuilt their own power steering rack? I see the kit is about 85.00 as opposed to 250.00 for a whole rack. Mine is leaking badly and my pump is making a bad noise. I can do the job I was just wondering if anyone has had any success with it. Thanks
