My 1993 960, has begun to experience a weird problem. The car has approx 70k miles on it andI have had it for about 4 months. Until now it has operated normally. It starts ok when cold, but once warmed up, while sitting at idle, it will sporadically rev up to 2000-2500 rpm and stay there for a couple of seconds. I also seem to notice a smell of gas. At times it will also cut out and turn over rapidly but not start. I did notice one small vacum hose that was leaking and replaced it. Once it has stalled, if I let it sit for about 5-10 min with the AMM disconnected it then restarts (vroom). ???
