Overboost 700 1987

Well, I went and done it this time (maybe)
Replaced the wastegate actuator hose with another one a few weeks ago, and i must have gotten some shitty hose or something, cause when it broke off this evening, the whole thing was hard as a rock. Yall can see where i'm going with this.
On the bright side of things, I wasn't racing anyone or bombing around town, it happened as i pulled out onto the highway.. Boost needle went over, stayed where it normally does for a second, and then rocketted down to the "r" on the gauge(i.e. it went straight down). First, do any of yall know roughly how much boost that is?
Second, what all might have gone up in smoke in that heated pass? It detonated really really bad, but i lifted before anything went bang really loud (it only went clang clang clang for maybe a second, if that) but it hasn't run right since. it idles lower than it did, runs rough, and almost feels like its just hitting on three, but theres no smoke out the back (or anything like that that would indicate a burned piston) It doesn't sound bad, still has the little bit of piston slap that it had before, but it was hessitating and shaking. It could be that it just needed to sit for a little while (well, that won't fix the hose ;) ), but this one has got me spooked.. I'm at school, left all my tools at home (damnit!!) and the car hasta get me home. One thing is for certain, without that hose, even the t3 spools boost hella fast ;)

thanks yall
