Any reason a generic oil pressure gauge won't work in a 240? For example there are 2" gauges needing a 2-1/16" mounting hold at Jcwhitney:

JC Whitney gauges

If this kind of oil pressure gauge will work and I later get a Volvo gauge will the generic sender work with the Volvo gauge? Seems like most of the Volvo gauges sold on ebay don't have the sender.
