Intermitant No Start (fuel Injction problem) 200 1980

Hello
My 80 240 runs well most of the time. On occasion it doesnt start. It will restart anywhere for 15 minuets to a day later. There is no constant variable such as weather or hot or cold. It will run on starting fluid. Last year i replaced the fuel pump and put in a used fuel distributer. The only part I ruled out is the fuel pump relay (carry on e in the glovebox) Anyone have any ideas?
