Just purchased an 87 240 yesterday and there's a couple things that need attention. It's running fairly rough at idle at all temps and there seems to be a pretty potent smell coming from the tailpipe, gassy in nature. I've had a couple 240's and they've always read about half on the temp gauge, this one reads at about 1/4 and when I checked the coolant level the coolant in resevoir was cool to the touch. Since I just picked it up yesterday I haven't had much time to check things out, what to look for besides the usual suspects (plugs, wires, rotor, cap etc.).
