I'm troubleshooting a snag and I thought I'd solicite opinions before I go much farther, possibly down the wrong path.

84 245 B23F LH 2.0 injection, manual trans.

Background:
Ran fine, was parked for a couple hours. On re-start wouldn't run for more than a couple seconds. Would run after the key was released, but not much. This morning I was able to get it home with much finessing of the throttle. Playing with the throttle will get it to keep running around idle, or at full throttle, not much in between. To get the revs up pumping the throttle seemed to help. Got it home (not far) by basically pumping and full throttle in second gear. Along the way it showed signs of "clearing its throat" but didn't.

Spark looks great. Both pumps are running and voltage to them is good. Good fuel delivery volume, checked via the return.

I'm thinking it's an injection problem but I'm open to ideas. I've got the Bentley manual and I'm progressing throught the injection checks.
