Augh! I was getting on the freeway this morning. My car had been running approx 3 minutes. I know, im a bad owner. anyway, when I was almost at the freeway, I heard this pop and a whoosh like a vaccuum hose coming off. Only it isnt that simple. I finished driving to work because nothing sounded weird and no lights came on. The car sat for 4 hours then I went to lunch approx a 5 minute drive through town. After lunch my husband and I swapped cars and he took mine to see if he could find out what went wrong. I returned to work where he called and told me "Its bad".
There was oil spewing everywhere. basically it came from the rear of the engine. It looks like engine oil but I'm not sure. The car has about 175000 miles on it. It also has an auto transmission. Ok it wasnt spewing but it is definitely a healthy leak.
Any ideas where to begin to troubleshoot this one?
