I have a 90 760 GLE (V6) and have been reading a lot about how horrible and unreliable these cars are. I've had mine for almost 10 years and have put 130,000 miles on it (it has 155,000). I don't abuse it and other than a water pump a few years ago, and several sets of front rotors, it's been a very trouble-free car. The interior and the exterior are in excellent shape and EVERYTHING works (slow leak in the A/C compressor, but planning to convert to 134A this summer). I'm starting to think maybe I should sell it before something major happens. If you have had experiences with simliar cars (V6, 1987 or newer), I would love to hear what you think and whether or not I could safely expect it to go for another 50K or 100K. I'm just not thrilled about another car payment. Thanks.
