Should I buy a 940 or a 960 ? 900

I'm thinking about buying a 9 series wagon, I know very little about these cars so any advise would be much appreciated. I now drive a 240 wagon but it's getting a little tired, so I'd like to gather some info on the 940 turbo and 960.
What is the HP rating on each of these engines ?
Which is the better engine ?
Are both models identical except for the engines ?
What sort of things should I look for when buying ?
I live in Canada so there will probably be some small differences from the US models. Any comments or suggestions you may have would be of great help.
