Hub Adapters/Spacers 200 1983

Just wondering how many of you have used the adapter/spacer plates for the hubs - used when mounting mags from later model volvos onto the older 240s. Are they 'safe'? And where would any of you recommend I purchased them if I was interested.

Or is there a better way to get the job done?
