Once again, I pose another question on my 1989 244 GL....
When I purchased the car, I knew that it had slight cosmetic flaws, mainly with the interior. But I also knew that the fuel filler door would not close.
It closes partway, but not fully. The PO thinks that the hinge is bent. If it is, how hard is this to fix? Can I do it myself, or am I off to the body shop? I'm not up to visiting my friendly boneyard for a replacement door, only because I doubt I'll find one in the exact color (it's a dark blackish-silverish-bluish color...factory).
Thanks!
Steve
