1985 760 GLE Turbo-(gas) 700 1985

My car is listing to the left, with the ride height at least 1.5" lower on the left front wheel than on the right front. It continues to handle and ride well. A friend who is a Volvo service manager suggested 2 possibilities;
1. a broken front spring.
2. the possibility that if the car has Nivomats in the rear, they (in particular the right rear) could wacky.

How can I tell if the rear struts/shocks are Nivomats?
How can I tell if they are malfunctioning?

This friend of mine said that broken/sagging front springs are rare in these cars.

Thanks,

Will
