Hi All,
I was wondering if it will be an easy job to rip out the Chrysler-manufactured Distributor and drop in a Bosch unit for my '83 DL. The local parts stores have to special-order caps and rotors for this dist., and the pickup for the unit is a factory-only part that recently ran me $95.00. Are there many/any advantages to the (presumably) more common Bosch distributor, and is it an easy job to switch them out? (Hardware/wiring issues?)
Any advice is gratefully welcomed as this is my first Volvo, and I love the way it feels on the road, and have visions of greatness for this project.
